Acoustic Americana Folk Blues
Rick writes songs the way some folks tell stories late at night—plainspoken, a little worn, and honest enough to sometimes sting. Influenced by the likes of Townes Van Zandt, Kris Kristofferson, Guy Clark, Steve Earle and Gretchen Peters and shaped by the style of writers like John Steinbeck and Ernest Hemingway, his songs lean into real life with little polish and no pretense.
His sound lives somewhere between acoustic Americana, folk, blues, and back-road country—raw and unvarnished, built more on truth than technique.
Rick’s first record, Porch Songs (2020), set the tone. Sunrise (2022) dug a little deeper. His latest, Third Table from the Window (November 2025), pulls up a chair and doesn’t look away—stories of people you’ve known, or maybe have been, told straight and without apology.
